From creative ideas we generated The ELT method , which is based on the formula of:
Idea • Strategy • Results
What do we mean by this?
| |
The Idea is based on the Life Skills concept and
utilizing English to develop students' ability in the four key
areas of ThinkingSkill, LearningSkill, CommunicationSkill
and SocialSkill.
The Strategy is the programs that we design, providing effective language development for our students and encouraging them to use English confidently and correctly
in their daily lives. |
The Results are the students' achievements and increased potential upon completing a language development program,
in every level, with the knowledge and ability to apply their
skills to improve their life, education and career.

The programs and supporting curricula are based on the four key areas of Life Skills
development, which are the foundation of our educational methodology. These are;
| |
ThinkingSkill
LearningSkill
CommunicationSkill
SocialSkill |
| |
Our English language training programs are based
around these four aspects to develop students' critical
thinking skills, engender effective learning, promote oral
and written communication ability and enhance social skills
with an understanding of Western cultures and societies.
The programs are student-centred and designed
specifically for Thai and Asian students.

T o ensure that educational standards are not only met but improved upon, for all of our students
and programs, the following areas are paramount;
| |
| Placement Test |
| Student Survey |
| Student Report |
| Certification |
| |
Placement Test
Once students are ready to begin the course a placement test is conducted to ascertain the level
of the students.
Our placement test for junior students evaluates their knowledge of vocabulary, comprehension of
content and ability in grammar and structure. Each test is specifically designed to suit a student's particular age group.
For students aged sixteen and above our test standard is similar to that of the TOEIC test (TOEIC-Test of English for International Communication) which is beneficial to students
as they are able to meet and improve upon international standards.
After assessing the test we are able to place students in a
class relevant to their level of knowledge. Thus enabling students to understand the material and maximize their learning.
Student Survey
At a set stage of every course we conduct a student survey. The objective of the survey is to obtain student feed back and ensure that they are enjoying and progressing on the course. Also it allows us to analyze, develop and improve our programs and performance.
Students are asked to complete and submit a form giving their opinion and assessment on every aspect of the course. The topics covered in the survey include;
Teacher's performance
Teaching methods
Course materials
Activities used
Language development
Student Report
At the end of every course the teacher will complete and present a student report to every student.
The student report highlights areas like attendance, confidence, participation, comprehension,
overall performance and progress during the course.
There is also a general comments section where the teacher often lists in detail the students' progress in different areas like listening and speaking etc.
Another part of the report is a section where the
teacher suggests in detail how they think a student
can improve.
Certification
Upon completion of a course every student is presented with a certificate. The certificate shows they have studied on and completed an English Language Development Program with EnglishPlus, and the specifics of the course they have taken,
i.e. Dynamic Speaking, Business Writing etc.
